The theoretical paradigm in organizational design has been shifting to a paradigm of organizing vs organizations. It has been obvious that organizations have shifted their understanding since the medieval times. After describing the predominant paradigms for studying organizations we survey attendees on how these paradigms are used in order to understand the link between performance, structure, and strategy.
